How fast can people be processed?
Hold before security. Flow after security.
Screening release is limited to what both security and ticketing can receive in the interval. Any unmet demand stays in the controlled external queue; the ticketing zone is modeled as a no-hold, flow-through area.
Generic rate guide Use only when site evidence is unavailable
Security: hand wand 150–350; walk-through detection 300–400; high-throughput screening 800–1,200 people/lane/hour.
Ticketing: hand scanned 250–400; pedestal or turnstile 500–600 people/lane/hour. Use the lower end conservatively when no local evidence exists.

Processor groups can be assigned before people enter and both continuous routes remain visible to operators.
Queue switching, unbalanced allocation, processor downtime, crossflow and stopped movement in the distribution zone.
Allocate before entry, prevent queue-to-queue movement, meter each discharge separately and keep the protected cross-aisle free of holding.
Configuration rule: population and density set the net holding requirement. The generator expands one continuous queue, or uses two independently continuous queues for a dual-capable form when one would exceed 12 runs. It never creates a third queue, a holding bank, or a queue-to-queue transfer. People must be assigned before joining either queue. Turn openings, the protected cross-aisle, distribution and the assisted route are support space—not holding capacity. No ordinary queue area is assigned after screening.

- Two independent continuous queues are generated. Allocate people before entry; do not permit transfers or switching between queues after joining.
- The longest modeled walking path within a queue is approximately 342 m. Test walking distance, mobility, welfare, visibility, line management and emergency interfaces on the surveyed plan; 300 m is a product planning alert, not a universal standard.

The plan is a reproducible model-derived layout concept. Before field installation, the operations team must reconcile it to a controlled survey and approve barrier openings, surface, slope, anchoring/ballast, accessible provision, sterile and emergency routes, utilities, local rules and manufacturer requirements.
